Abu Dhabi, UAE: PureHealth is expanding the SEHA CLINICS network across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain with 22 new and upgraded clinics and mobile healthcare units during 2026, aiming to improve access to preventive care, early disease detection and technology-enabled primary healthcare services across the emirate.
The expansion includes six new physical primary healthcare clinics, three visa screening centres and six mobile healthcare units, along with service expansions at five existing clinics and the reopening of two facilities.
The initiative supports the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s focus on prevention, continuity of care and improved health outcomes, while strengthening primary care as a key entry point into the healthcare system.
As Abu Dhabi continues to experience population growth and urban expansion, the expanded SEHA CLINICS network is intended to bring healthcare services closer to residential communities, improve access to primary and preventive care, and strengthen coordination between primary care and specialised healthcare services.
Strengthening Community-Based Primary Care
The expansion is part of PureHealth’s broader approach to strengthening local healthcare infrastructure and aligning services across its Care and Cover model. The company said the initiative is designed to support earlier detection of health conditions, improve continuity of care and provide more consistent healthcare services across communities.
Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, said the expansion reflects the importance of strengthening primary care at the community level.
“We believe that a resilient community is rooted in healthy families, and by expanding local primary care, we are providing the reassurance and support every home needs to flourish.”
Asif added that the continued growth of SEHA CLINICS supports the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s focus on preventive and family-doctor-led medicine, while increasing healthcare capacity in growing communities.
Several facilities have already begun operations in 2026, including clinics serving communities in Al Rowdha, Saadiyat Island and Liwa in Al Dhafra. Further facilities are expected to open in Abu Dhabi before the end of the year.
The expansion also coincides with the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026, with SEHA CLINICS positioning its expanded network as a way of bringing primary and preventive healthcare closer to where families live and work.
Mobile Healthcare and Technology-Enabled Care
The mobile healthcare units supporting the expansion were designed and delivered by OneHealth, part of PureHealth and its end-to-end healthcare solutions portfolio.
The units are intended to extend preventive and primary healthcare services beyond conventional clinical settings and closer to communities.
SEHA CLINICS is supported by more than 900 doctors across more than 20 specialties, including paediatrics, cardiology and family medicine. The integration of these specialties within primary care settings is intended to support more comprehensive and continuous care for individuals and families.
The network operates 365 days a year, with extended operating hours and 24-hour coverage at selected centres.
SEHA CLINICS also uses AI-enabled and data-driven diagnostic capabilities, including advanced radiology reporting and retinal screening programmes, to support clinical decision-making, early detection and timely intervention.
Dr Khadija Al Marashda, Chief Executive Officer of SEHA CLINICS, said the expansion is designed to improve access while responding to increasing demand.
“Our focus is to ensure high-quality care within reach of the communities we serve. This expansion allows us to respond to growing demand with extended hours, multispecialty expertise and improved patient flow, reducing wait times and enhancing the overall patient experience, while maintaining a strong emphasis on preventive care, clinical excellence and the integration of advanced diagnostics.”
SEHA CLINICS Records Growth in Patient Demand
The expansion follows significant growth in activity across the SEHA CLINICS network.
In 2025, SEHA CLINICS recorded 4.1 million outpatient visits, representing a 14.5 per cent year-on-year increase. The network also conducted 1.4 million visa screenings, up 12.5 per cent year-on-year.
SEHA CLINICS currently serves more than 2.4 million lives across Abu Dhabi. Specialised visits increased by 54 per cent, supported by the addition of 100 physicians.
The network also reported a Net Promoter Score of 70, a measure commonly used to assess patient experience and satisfaction.
Focus on Prevention and Population Health
With Abu Dhabi’s population and healthcare needs continuing to evolve, PureHealth said SEHA CLINICS will continue to focus on preventive healthcare, personalised wellness planning and long-term population health outcomes.
The expansion reflects a broader shift toward community-based primary care, with healthcare services increasingly positioned around prevention, early intervention and continuity rather than treatment alone.
By expanding physical facilities, mobile healthcare capabilities, specialist access and technology-enabled diagnostics, SEHA CLINICS aims to strengthen its role as a primary healthcare partner for individuals and families across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
