M42, the AI-powered global health company, has signed an exclusive outsourcing agreement with Global Medical Supply Chain (GMSC), a subsidiary of Mubadala Bio, to enhance medical supply chain operations across M42’s healthcare network in the UAE.
Announced on the sidelines of Make it in the Emirates 2026, the agreement reinforces both organizations’ commitment to advancing the UAE’s national priorities around healthcare localization, supply chain resilience, and the development of a future-ready healthcare ecosystem.
The agreement was signed by Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group Chief Executive Officer of M42, and Hamad Husein Al Marzooqi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Bio. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Sheikh Zayed bin Mansour bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Head of Strategic Collaborations at M42, and Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala’s UAE Investments platform.
Under the partnership, GMSC will oversee a fully integrated supply chain framework across M42’s network, including sourcing and procurement, demand planning, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management. The collaboration will support the supply of pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, equipment, and instruments across healthcare facilities, ensuring continuity and operational efficiency.
Dr. Bakheet Al Katheeri, Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala’s UAE Investments platform, stated that the agreement represents a major milestone in Mubadala’s efforts to help establish a globally competitive and self-sustaining healthcare and life sciences ecosystem in the UAE. He noted that combining Mubadala Bio’s specialized capabilities with M42’s healthcare scale would strengthen national supply chain resilience while accelerating the development of in-country healthcare capabilities.
Dimitris Moulavasilis, Group Chief Executive Officer of M42, emphasized that resilient and integrated supply chains are central to M42’s health intelligence ecosystem. He added that the collaboration with GMSC supports the company’s transformation strategy by improving operational efficiency, enabling patient-centric care delivery, and contributing to the UAE’s healthcare localization goals.
Hamad Husein Al Marzooqi, Group Deputy CEO of Mubadala Bio, highlighted that the partnership demonstrates Mubadala Bio’s commitment to delivering end-to-end pharmaceutical logistics services across the UAE. Through GMSC, the company aims to build more integrated and resilient supply chain systems while ensuring healthcare providers maintain uninterrupted access to high-quality medical products.
As part of the agreement, GMSC will collaborate closely with M42’s clinical and operational teams to improve demand forecasting, optimize procurement processes, and enhance inventory visibility across the healthcare network. The partnership is expected to minimize supply disruption risks, improve service reliability, and create cost efficiencies at scale.
