New addition expands PhysioTherabia into the largest physiotherapy and wellness network in Saudi Arabia

Abu Dhabi / Riyadh – Burjeel Holdings, one of the MENA region’s leading super-specialty healthcare providers, has announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in PhysioTrio Physiotherapy Center in Riyadh through its subsidiary Burjeel Arabia. This strategic move further cements the Group’s position in the Kingdom’s physiotherapy and rehabilitation sector.

Founded in 2013, PhysioTrio is known for its excellence in patient care and operational efficiency, with strong demand across Riyadh. Now part of PhysioTherabia—Burjeel’s rapidly expanding physiotherapy and wellness network—PhysioTrio will contribute to the Group’s vision of delivering world-class rehabilitative care across Saudi Arabia.

The center has a strong focus on sports rehabilitation and holds high-profile partnerships, including with the Ministry of Sport, making it a pivotal player in serving athletes and active populations.

“Saudi Arabia represents a key pillar in our long-term growth strategy. The acquisition of PhysioTrio not only extends our footprint but also aligns with our commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by enhancing access to high-quality physiotherapy and wellness services,” said Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO, Burjeel Holdings.

With this acquisition, PhysioTherabia’s network now spans 30 facilities across the Kingdom, including major hubs in Riyadh and Mecca. The newly integrated center will benefit from access to advanced technologies, AI-based assessment tools, and centralized clinical protocols—further enhancing consistency and quality of care.

“This integration empowers us to deliver advanced rehabilitation programs while scaling operations to meet the evolving needs of the Saudi population,” added Mr. Abdulmohsen Al Ashry, Regional CEO – KSA, Burjeel Holdings.

The acquisition builds on Burjeel’s broader initiatives in Saudi Arabia, including the recent integration of Aspris Healthcare, a specialized mental health platform in Riyadh, through the Alkalma joint venture. The Group continues to expand in digital health, day surgery, and complex care services to play a key role in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation journey.
