Healthtech startup Pristyn Care has launched its first super-speciality hospital in New Delhi, marking a strategic shift in its business model. Previously operating as an asset-light platform connecting patients with experienced surgeons, the startup is now expanding into hospital ownership and management.
Announcing the milestone in a LinkedIn post, Pristyn Care stated: “From being an asset-light startup to owning and operating our own hospitals – this transformation reflects our commitment to revolutionising healthcare delivery in India.”
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The newly launched hospital in Delhi is equipped with:
- Radiology labs, dermatology, and gynaecology departments
- Modular operating theatres
- Intensive care units for premature babies
Aggressive Expansion Plans
Pristyn Care aims to establish 50 hospitals across 25 cities over the next three years. The expansion roadmap includes:
- Recruiting 3,500 additional healthcare professionals
- Partnering with over 750 skilled surgeons
Founded in 2018 by Harsimarbir Singh, Vaibhav Kapoor, and Garima Sawhney, Pristyn Care has built a reputation as a surgical healthcare platform, having served over 2 million patients and facilitated 1.5 lakh+ surgeries. The Delhi NCR-based startup has partnerships with 400+ doctors, 150 clinics, and 800 hospitals, with a presence in 50+ cities.
Financial Outlook & Future Prospects
- Pristyn Care was reportedly seeking to raise $50–100 million in fresh funding, expected to close by the first half of 2025, to support its hospital expansion.
- The company is also preparing for an IPO within the next three years, engaging with bankers, global investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Financially, the startup’s net loss remained stable in FY24 at INR 381.07 crore, compared to INR 382.57 crore in FY23. However, revenue from operations saw a 33% surge to INR 600.52 crore from INR 452.89 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Last year, Pristyn Care laid off 120 employees as part of cost-cutting efforts to achieve profitability by FY25.
Competitive Landscape
Pristyn Care’s move into hospital operations comes at a time when other new-age tech companies, such as PB Fintech, are also eyeing the healthcare sector.
