Dubai, UAE: Mediclinic Middle East has announced an AED420 million expansion of Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai, aimed at increasing capacity across specialised and advanced medical services and improving access to comprehensive healthcare for communities across south Dubai.
The investment comes amid continued growth in Dubai’s healthcare sector, where an increasingly supportive investment environment and government incentives are attracting international and multinational healthcare providers. The expansion of Mediclinic Parkview reflects the broader development of specialised healthcare infrastructure across the emirate and the growing demand for advanced medical services.
Expanding Integrated and Specialised Care
The expansion is designed around an integrated patient-care model, connecting consultation, diagnosis, treatment, recovery and follow-up more efficiently. New and enhanced facilities will support faster diagnostic pathways, greater outpatient capacity and improved coordination between different stages of care.
The project will significantly expand the hospital’s capabilities in several areas, including oncology, paediatrics, musculoskeletal care, sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Strengthening Oncology Services
As part of the development, Mediclinic Parkview will introduce enhanced oncology facilities designed to provide high-quality cancer care within an integrated clinical environment.
The infrastructure will also be designed with future developments in advanced oncology services in mind, allowing the hospital to adapt its capabilities as clinical technologies and treatment approaches continue to evolve.
Dedicated Paediatric Urgent Care
Paediatric services will also be expanded through the establishment of a dedicated paediatric urgent care unit. The facility is intended to provide specialised urgent care for infants and children closer to residential communities in south Dubai.
The development is expected to improve access to timely paediatric services while supporting a more comprehensive care pathway for young patients and their families.
Expansion of Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation Services
The project will further expand Mediclinic Parkview’s musculoskeletal, sports medicine and physiotherapy capabilities.
New facilities will support treatment, recovery and rehabilitation, alongside additional day surgery theatres and day-care suites. The expansion is expected to strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide coordinated care across diagnosis, intervention and post-treatment rehabilitation.
Automation and Smart Healthcare Technologies
Digital transformation will be another key component of the expansion.
Mediclinic Parkview will deploy automation and smart technologies to strengthen service integration, improve patient experience and enhance the efficiency and safety of clinical operations.
The increased use of technology is expected to support smoother workflows across the hospital while enabling greater integration between clinical and operational functions.
Supporting Dubai’s Healthcare Investment Landscape
The AED420 million investment highlights the continued role of private healthcare providers in expanding Dubai’s specialised healthcare infrastructure.
His Excellency Dr. Alawi AlSheikh-Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, said investment in specialised hospitals and health centres reflects the evolution of Dubai’s healthcare sector towards more integrated and specialised services.
He emphasised that such developments can strengthen the healthcare system’s ability to provide advanced care closer to communities while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
“The private healthcare sector is a strategic partner in developing Dubai’s healthcare system,” Dr. AlSheikh-Ali said, adding that high-value investments can introduce new capabilities, broaden specialised services and support Dubai’s competitiveness as a destination for healthcare and medical tourism.
Mediclinic’s Commitment to Future Healthcare Demand
Hein van Eck, Chief Executive Officer of Mediclinic Middle East, said the investment reflects the organisation’s confidence in Dubai’s healthcare sector and its continued growth.
“This investment reflects our confidence in the direction of Dubai’s healthcare sector and the remarkable progress it is making,” van Eck said. He added that the expansion will increase capacity in specialties experiencing growing demand while creating a more integrated care experience for patients and their families.
“Through this project, we aim to raise the hospital’s capability, enabling it to respond to both current and future needs,” he added.
Construction is expected to begin shortly, with the expansion scheduled for completion in 2027.
The development reinforces Dubai’s strategy of expanding specialised healthcare capacity alongside population growth, technological advancement and rising demand for high-value medical services. It also underlines the growing contribution of private-sector investment to the emirate’s ambition to strengthen its position as a regional healthcare and medical tourism hub.
