An estimated 82% of physicians in Abu Dhabi were actively using the Malaffi health information exchange (HIE) platform in 2025, underscoring the Emirate’s sustained push toward a fully connected, data-driven healthcare ecosystem.
The high adoption rate reflects significant progress in enabling real-time access to unified patient records, reducing unnecessary test duplication, enhancing clinical decision-making, and improving overall patient safety.
Scaling Connectivity Across the Emirate
Malaffi has achieved near-universal integration across Abu Dhabi’s healthcare network, connecting 100% of hospitals and more than 1,100 clinics. The platform now provides secure access to over 39,000 clinicians, positioning it as a critical backbone of the region’s digital health infrastructure.
Enhancing Clinical Outcomes Through Data Integration
As the region’s first HIE, Malaffi centralizes patient medical records, enabling faster diagnoses and more coordinated care delivery. This interoperability has played a key role in improving care continuity across providers.
Driving Digital Transformation
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has highlighted Malaffi’s contribution to elevating healthcare quality and accelerating digital transformation across the sector. The platform continues to support data-informed decision-making at both clinical and system levels.
Advancing with AI and Predictive Analytics
By 2025, Malaffi has expanded its capabilities to include advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, allowing healthcare providers to identify and predict patient risks proactively—further strengthening preventive care strategies.
