PureHealth Holding PJSC has completed its €800 million acquisition of a 60% stake in Hellenic Healthcare Group (HHG) — Greece and Cyprus’s leading private healthcare provider — marking a major milestone in its global expansion strategy.

The deal, valuing HHG at €1.3 billion, integrates 11 hospitals and 23 diagnostic centres serving over 1.4 million patients annually and employing 6,900 healthcare professionals. This move strengthens Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for healthcare excellence while reinforcing PureHealth’s mission to deliver connected, innovation-driven care across continents.

According to H.E. Kamal Al Maazmi, Chairman of PureHealth, the transaction demonstrates the Group’s ability to execute in mature markets and expand into new geographies. “With HHG, we are facilitating knowledge exchange and innovation that will enhance patient outcomes across our network,” he said.

Shaista Asif, Group CEO, added that the integration supports PureHealth’s goal of advancing AI-driven, patient-centred healthcare and diversifying its revenue base across geographies and currencies.

This acquisition follows PureHealth’s recent international expansions — including the $1.2 billion purchase of Circle Health Group (UK) in 2024 and a $500 million investment in Ardent Health Services (US) — highlighting a disciplined strategy to build a globally diversified healthcare portfolio.

By combining HHG’s strong regional presence with PureHealth’s international expertise, this transaction is set to enhance access, elevate standards of care, and drive long-term value creation for patients and shareholders alike.
