Smart ring pioneer ŌURA has raised $200 million in a Series D funding round, propelling the company’s valuation to $5.2 billion. The round includes a $125 million infusion following a $75 million investment from medical device giant Dexcom last month. Fidelity Management & Research Company also participated in this funding effort, underscoring growing confidence in Oura’s trajectory.
Oura’s flagship product, the Oura Ring, leverages advanced sensors to monitor over 20 biometrics, including heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, body temperature, and menstrual cycle tracking. These metrics are used to provide insights into sleep patterns, activity levels, and overall health.
“This financing reflects Oura’s momentum in building and leading the smart ring category and the shared belief among its partners and investors that there are substantial growth opportunities ahead,” the company stated in a press release.
The funding will support Oura’s plans to broaden its product portfolio, drive innovation in healthcare and AI, and further expand into international markets. The company also hinted at exploring new acquisitions to accelerate growth.
Oura CEO Tom Hale emphasized the company’s vision to integrate health practices seamlessly into daily life: “As we continue to drive momentum and growth, we are bolstered by the additional support of these investors. We’ve made significant progress in advancing our mission to make health a daily practice and will use this funding to unlock new opportunities, with AI development at the center of our strategy. We know that Oura has the potential to change lives at scale, and we’re excited to continue leading the market in innovation while pursuing opportunities that extend beyond the ring.”
With this new capital, Oura aims to solidify its position as a leader in wearable health technology and explore avenues for innovation that extend its reach and impact globally.
