Oracle Health (Oracle) has announced the release of its next-generation electronic health record (EHR) platform set for 2025, which will integrate advanced AI and cloud capabilities to transform clinical workflows and patient care.

This new EHR platform is designed from the ground up on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and will incorporate the Oracle Clinical AI Agent, voice-activated navigation, and Oracle Health Data Intelligence. The embedded analytics tools promise a unified view of patient data, aggregating clinical, claims, social determinants, and pharmacy information from thousands of sources.

Speaking at the Oracle Health Summit in Nashville, Oracle’s Executive Vice President Seema Verma described the new platform as a “dynamic, evolving system of intelligence.” Rather than serving as a traditional record-keeping tool, the AI-driven platform aims to simplify appointment prep, documentation, and follow-up, giving providers actionable insights at the point of care.

“This EHR will not merely support but drive clinical action,” Verma told the audience. “For providers, it’s the doctor’s best resident, the administrator’s most productive analyst, the researcher’s best trial recruiter, and the payer’s most efficient partner in reviewing and authorizing treatment.”

Oracle Health plans to relocate its headquarters to Nashville, positioning itself within a growing healthcare hub as it looks to redefine the EHR landscape with this AI-powered solution.
